At my core, I have always been a truth seeker—a thread-puller and curious lifelong learner, drawn to uncovering new perspectives that inspire growth. I thrive around authentic souls, love a funny on-point meme, and strive to serve my clients with kind professionalism and a desire to put them at ease.

Since 2005, I’ve had the privilege of capturing lifestyle images for families, high school seniors, couples in love, and professionals seeking personal branding / headshot portraits. What a gift it's been for me to do what I love, and connect with so many amazing people over these two decades!

One of my goals when I'm behind the camera is to try and put my clients at ease to capture both beautiful portraits and authentic moments, and to give you photos that stand the test of time. Because I don’t just take photos, I work with people.

Thank you to my clients for an amazing year! These were several of the families & couples I had the honor of photographing in 2024. I’m also looking forward to sharing the many professionals and entrepreneurs I took branding & headshots of, and the many awesome seniors I had the privilege of capturing! 2024 was an adventure in so many respects (shared more of my personal journey on my @jb.in.az page) and I look forward to what’s ahead in 2025! ✨🫶🏻

It’s been a fun few weeks photographing some amazing high school seniors! 🎓✨

From NDP to Xavier, these teens have brought their unique personalities and vibe to each session, making them really fun to work with!

And one of these seniors? I photographed him as a baby/toddler, and here we are 16+ years later! 😲 (Scroll to the end) It’s moments like these that continue to make me love what I do – capturing memories that span generations.

When it comes to senior portraits, light is everything. And locations? They can be almost anywhere, but spots where seniors can interact with their surroundings – it helps their personalities come through even more. 🌟

I’m so grateful to document this exciting chapter in their lives and to create images their parents will treasure for years to come 🤍

Mini Session Update!
Families have had some wonderful things to celebrate this year:: New babies, graduating seniors, future home lots they are building on, growing teens before they get the braces off, growing toddlers, aging parents loving on their grandchildren, and just because. At every season and stage, there is something to celebrate. ✨

The busy fall season kicks off next week and there are still a few slots remaining for booking! DM the word “fall” and I will send you the link to the four new slots I just released. Two morning ones and two evening ones! 📸

Plus, I still have a full lifestyle session available in gorgeous Prescott for those looking for beautiful family photos in some pretty amazing locations up in cooler weather and changing leaves over Fall Break week.

Only 1.5 hour north of Phoenix for a completely different look than down here in the valley, especially for those holiday card photos! 🍁😍

My sister and I hit the jackpot with my Dad. We are so blessed to have had such a humble, kind, silly, positive, life-loving Dad who has always shown us (and everyone he meets) nothing but respect, patience and love. Happy Father’s Day, Dad! I can’t wait to celebrate in person this week. ❤️

I also feel like I hit the jackpot by meeting and dating such a wonderful man. He is a fantastic father to his own three kids - and consistently shows up for mine as well. He always makes me feel so treasured, seen and valued, and I’m so grateful to know him. He’s a good one, like my own Dad! HFD RES! ❤️

My Mom is my very first memory, and it is one of love, safety, and warmth. Thankfully 🙏 Yet, still a complex relationship. My own children are my purest feeling of love, and the greatest gift I’ve been blessed with. Of course challenging at times, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world. We forgot to take a photo last night at dinner, but I think I was too busy laughing at their banter, and just enjoying having them at the same table again! It really goes by in a blink. ❤️ Love you two to infinity and beyond! Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mama’s.

Happy Saturday! It’s been awhile since I’ve updated you on what’s going on. 🤗 I’m excited to announce that in addition to my career as a photographer (going strong for almost 20 years now!) I am also embarking on a new side venture as a Scottsdale / Phoenix metro Realtor, and have joined the experienced team Sold By Samantha in Scottsdale, part of the Keller Williams Arizona Realty family!

I got my license late last year and have been slowly laying the groundwork to embrace this season of life with new opportunities, experiences and communities. Becoming a realtor had been on my radar for years, and I finally took the leap and went for it. I feel really blessed to be part of a truly great group of women, with over 55 years of combined real estate experience, strong integrity, and all around amazing humans. 🤍

I started a new page @jenniferbowen_realestate that will be solely dedicated to all things real estate:: 🏡 homes for sale, our team, what’s happening in the ever-growing & highly desirable Scottsdale & Phoenix metro market & in the news … and much more. I won’t spam you here with that, but I would love it if you’ll consider following along there as well!

This page will remain dedicated to photography and personal updates. I’m not going anywhere as a photographer! 📸 I still love what I do and will likely continue along until I can’t physically hold a camera any longer — hopefully a long time away!

I’m excited about what the future holds, and remain open to new adventures, always. I have some exciting news to share with you very soon! I’m not switching away from photography (in fact, I’ve been steadily working away and have much to share), but I have been laying the groundwork for the past 6 months or so to integrate a new venture into my life, and I’m looking forward to sharing more about this very soon!

As I stand on the brink of a new chapter, it also feels fitting that I am turning 50 🥳this Wednesday, which marks not just a #midlife milestone, but also a time of reflection of growth, and desire for transformation, which perfectly aligns with this life pivot and new journey. All I know is that I’ve learned that the only constant in life is change, and the sooner one can embrace that and lean into the journey and experiences it brings, perhaps the more fulfilling the ride. That is what Im trying to manifest, anyway! 💫

2023 🌟 I stepped into the year with the intention to “stay open to possibility and experiences” and boy did some good things come my way. Magical sunset light in the desert with the awesome Dakin family, visiting their home away from home. The open desert has a very small window of time where the light is warm and glow-y like this, and it's amazing how many photos you can get in that 20 min window! The older the kids, the more "posed" the photos tend to be, but we still played a bit, and I'm loving how their style worked so well for this location. 🌵🤠 ⁣.

Growing up, my Dad taught my sister and I to shake hands firmly and make eye contact when you greet someone, and when these two teens jumped out of the car, walked up to me, smiled and greeted me that way, I was immediately taken with all four of them. I so enjoyed meeting you Mackenzie & crew!!

This beautiful family traveled all the way from New Mexico just for this photo shoot, which completely humbled and moved me 💛 No small feat with 3 young children. We had pretty strong winds that day, but I am loving how so many with the wind turned out. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Elena and family.
